FORMER “Baywatch” babe NICOLE EGGERT has had a rough few years, but there’s at least one bright spot in her life right now – her mom Georgina’s cancer is in remission!
What’s more, Georgina tells The ENQUIRER that she has her beautiful daughter to thank for saving her life.
“Nicole took cafe of everything…and me,” the 77-year-old said in an exclusive interview. “She made all my (doctor) appointments, took all my messages – she was my angel.”
Georgina’s cancer– which started in her colon and spread to her liver – was just the latest setback for 42-year-old Nicole, who was devastated when her father, Rolf, succumbed to skin cancer in 2008.
Around the same time, the actress went through a bitter breakup with then-boyfriend DJ Leor Dimant, and began packing on the pounds.
She slimmed down for the celebrity diving show “Splash” last year, but started bulking up again after hurting her back on a bad landing during filming. Then, in September, the divorced mom of two young daughters filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, claiming she had just $400 in her checking account.
“It’s been one thing after the other for poor Nicole,” said a close source. “She just can’t catch a break.”
Despite her hardships, the source says Nicole never lost focus of what’s important – her mom. Although doctors have not officially declared Georgina “cancer-free” yet, she says they successfully removed a large mass in December.
“I was lucky enough to have great doctors,” she added, “and a great daughter!”
