Nick, 36, still loves Mariah, and part of him thinks she would want him back if he married someone else, according to an insider.
“But he ALSO wants to be sure Mariah would be OK with Chilli spending time with their kids, to avoid a custody battle of any kind,” said the source.
“If Mariah gives Chilli the thumbs down, Nick would likely end things with her!”
