Juggling her career and caring for her ailing boyfriend has JANE FONDA Fonda running ragged, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
“Jane is shouldering a lot of stress and it’s taking a toll,” according to a source close to the 77-year-old screen icon.
“She was very thin to begin with, but she looks downright gaunt these days. She’s also suffering from anxiety and exhaustion.”
Jane’s beau, 72-year-old music producer Richard Perry, suffers from Parkinson’s disease, and was rumored to require emergency medical care at the Golden Globes on Jan. 11.
Jane’s rep later denied that Richard was the stricken guest, but the source said: “Richard’s Parkinson’s is progressing, and Jane has taken on the role of his primary caretaker.”
While the two have been together since 2009, The ENQUIRER recently reported that Richard felt neglected when Jane’s career heated up.
The two-time Oscar winner is in the midst of multiple film projects, and also acts as unofficial marriage counselor for friends Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi.
The source added: “Friends are begging Jane to hire additional help and cut back on her work commitments.
“Everyone’s worried that she’s putting her own health at risk.”
