IT was bound to happen. Flirtatious “Voice” coach Blake Shelton is already hitting on the show’s sexy new coach Shakira – and his jealous wife Miranda Lambert is furious!
“It’s no secret that Blake can’t help himself when it comes to pretty women, and Shakira, who’s drop-dead gorgeous and funny, is certainly getting his full attention,” a source told The ENQUIRER.
“He’s like a little puppy dog around Shakira, and she plays it for all it’s worth. One of Miranda’s spies got word to her that Blake was smitten with Shakira, and she laid into him and made him promise to cut the flirting and not embarrass her.”
But Blake is having too much fun with the hip-shaking Colombian bombshell to quit, says the source.
“HE KNOWS HE’S PLAYING with fire, so he warned Shakira that when Miranda visits the set they need to play it cool because she’s the jealous type.
“Shakira just laughed it off and said, ‘Don’t worry – I know how to handle jealous wives.’”
Miranda, 29, has reason to be worried about her nearly two-year marriage to the “Honey Bee” singer. The handsome 36-year-old fell for Miranda while he was still married to his first wife, Kaynette Williams.
And, as The ENQUIRER exclusively reported in December, Blake and Miranda got into huge fights over his close relationship with the winner of last season’s “The Voice,” gorgeous 23-year-old Cassadee Pope, who was mentored by Blake on the show.
Shakira, 36, and R&B singer Usher, 34, are replacing outgoing coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green for Season 4 of “The Voice.”
The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer broke off an 11-year relationship with an Argentinian attorney in 2010 and is currently dating hunky Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique. The couple has a 2-month-old son, Milan.
According to the source, Shakira is so hot most guys want to believe she’s flirting with them – but she has no intention of stealing Miranda’s man.
“Shakira may stir things up,” added the source, “but she’s not a homewrecker.”
