MELISSA GILBERT injured on "Dancing with the Stars", rushed to the hospital.

After the Little House on the Prairie star danced the paso doble with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy to Conquest by the White Stripes, she injured herself and was removed from the set – off camera—on a stretcher.

Gilbert, 47, received 22 points on the night, seven points each from Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli and eight from Len Goodman.

Gilbert was not present at the show's end, which would be cleared up by host Tom Bergeron.

"If you're wondering why Melissa and Maks are not here, she injured herself and as a precaution, has gone to the hospital to get it checked out," Bergeron told the crowd during Monday's show, adding he'd have an update in time for Tuesday eve.

There's no word on exactly what sent the actress to the hospital, but she blogged for earlier that "this week of Dancing has been a killer," RadarOnline.com reported.

UPDATE: Gilbert suffered a mild concussion and whiplash, but assures fans she’ll be back in action as soon as possible.

Post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "I'm alright. Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of.
