MARTHA STEWART is “shocked and outraged” that a former flame has come out in support of the former Penn State coaching creep charged with sexually molesting a slew of underage boys!
The domestic diva dated former Penn State football jock Sam Stellatella in the late 1950s and reconnected with him in recent years. But now pals say Martha is disgusted over her ex-beau sending disgraced assistant coach Jerry Sandusky $100 for his defense.
“When Martha got word that Sammy sent a check to this pedophile, she got sick to her stomach and nearly lost her lunch!” said a source.
As The ENQUIRER reported exclusively in its July 11 issue, Sam, 73, still carries a torch for the homemaking titan and was even considering asking her to marry him. But now, pals say that proposal would fall flatter than a fallen souffle!
“Martha feels Sammy is putting Penn State football ahead of all those young kids whose innocence was snatched out from under them,” said another insider.
So far Sandusky, 67, has been charged with 40 counts of sexual abuse. But in an e-mail to an ENQUIRERreporter, Sam justified his gift by saying: “He deserves his day in court.” And he even urged other former football players to chip in to Sandusky’s de-fense. That’s left Martha, 70, fuming.
“She’s deeply disappointed in the stand he’s taken,” said the first source. “She believes he’s totally misguided.”
