Mariah Carey: I Was ‘Victimized’ Over New Year’s Eve Disaster

Shamed songbird keeps making excuses!

Mariah Carey can’t seem to move on from her infamous live New Year’s Eve performance — and is portraying herself as the victim!

Carey was the main attraction on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2017.” As she started to sing (or lip-sync) her hit ‘Emotions’, Carey pulled her earpiece from her ear — and stopped altogether while her background music kept playing to a stunned crowd!

Visibly embarrassed, she tried to engage them to sing along before being rescued by one of her backup dancers. She then continued her set by singing (or lip-syncing) her song, ‘We Belong Together’ on a platform at a safe distance from the audience.

Mariah Carey Career Crisis — Fans Staying Home

The singer has since addressed the debacle in interviews — clearly pointing her finger at the show’s production team for the technical difficulties!

“It’s like I’m the only one that has to make five million comebacks,” said Carey. “For me, there are different rules, I don’t know why. I don’t know why it’s not OK that I was just, like, victimized and vilified by the situation.”

Carey’s gripes look even worse when compared to how her contemporaries Adele and Lady Gaga easily handled technical difficulties following their recent performances at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
