Maria Bello — who publicized coming out as a lesbian in a 2013 newspaper essay — has dumped girlfriend Clare Munn in favor of a younger lover. A male lover.
Maria, 48, has been romancing Elijah Allan-Blitz, 29, who is described as a director for mindfulness teaching.
Back in November of 2013, the “Coyote Ugly” star published an essay in the “New York Times” called “Coming Out as a Modern Family” announcing her relationship with a woman.

“I read about the handful of men and the one woman I had been in romantic relationships with, passages rife with pain and angst,” she wrote in the essay. “It seemed when I was physically attracted to someone, I would put them in the box of being my ‘soul mate’ and then be crushed when things didn’t turn out as I had hoped.
“As I continued to look through photos, I came across a black-and-white one of my best friend and me taken on New Year’s Eve. We looked so happy, I couldn’t help but smile,” she continued. “It didn’t occur to me, until that soul-searching moment in my garden, that we could perhaps choose to love each other romantically.”
Maria had been in a relationship with TV executive Dan McDermott, with whom she shares a son, Jackson, 15.
