LIZA MINNELLI has entered rehab for substance abuse, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as the daughter of the late drug-addled superstar Judy Garland and director Vincent Minnelli has once again sought help for her ongoing problems with booze and drugs.
Her rep confirmed she entered a treatment facility in Malibu and is said to be making “excellent progress”.
Liza reportedly sought help this time around for booze.
Her most recent rehab stint was in 2004.
As The ENQUIRER has reported many many times Liza was a notorious partier during the wild and wooly Studio 54 era during the 1970s.
In recent years, she has had multiple health problems stemming from her substance abuse issues.
Legal docs revealed that alcohol was a major factor in her contentious divorce from her fourth hubby David Gest.
"Liza has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years," her rep said.
Sadly, Liza seems to be following in the steps of her mom.
Judy Garland went from “Over the Rainbow” in “The Wizard of Oz” in 1939 to a decades long battle with drug addiction, ultimately dying in 1969 from an overdose.
