Boozy bad boy Kiefer Sutherland once thought about ending his life and joining the infamous “27 Club!” The formerly hard-living actor felt he should join the string of influential musicians and artists who died at the tragically young age of 27 as a way of mastering his destiny!
“I remember thinking as a kid that the ultimate control would be to pick the day, and then you have a schedule within which to accomplish certain things,” said the 24 star, 52.
“When I was quite young, I picked 27. I remember when I was 26, I was going, ‘Oh God, I wish I could take that back.’”
Members of the booze- and drug-addicted “club” who died at 27 include Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison.
Actor and singer Kiefer — whose partying got so out of hand he was jailed for a DUI — added that he does not fear dying.
“It’s just a lot easier to accept that, and then it’s just a question of when, and you try to make it last as long as you can!” he explained.
