The daughter of BOBBY KENNEDY, KERRY KENNEDY was busted by NY cops driving under the influence of drugs after she slammed into a tractor trailer.

Cops say Kennedy, 52, was driving while under the influence of drugs when she slammed into a tractor-trailer.

Kennedy was collared by State Police after taking off following a collision with a tractor-trailer on I-684 in the town of North Castle in Westchester County.

State Troopers said they found Kennedy, 52, sitting behind the wheel of her disabled 2008 Lexus RS 350 on state Route 22.

The car had sustained substantial damage, including a flat tire.

NY State police  after conducting an investigation,  charged Kennedy with operating the car while her ability was impaired by drugs.

WABC-TV reported that Kerry had told the troopers she had taken Ambien — a hypnotic drug prescribed for sleeping disorders.

However, Kennedy's spokesperson Ken Sunshine, denied that she was impaired. “Kerry Kennedy voluntarily took breathalyzer, blood and urine tests – all of which showed no drugs or alcohol whatsoever in her system,” he said. “The charges were filed before the test results were available.”

Kennedy is the sister of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose estranged wife Mary Richardson Kennedy committed suicide in May. Kerry called Mary her "best friend".

Kennedy is the seventh child of the late Robert F. Kennedy,  former U.S. senator from New York and U.S. Attorney General. Her uncles were JFK and Ted Kennedy.

Kerry Kennedy was married to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo from 1991 to 2003 and is the mother of his three daughters.
