“Titanic” beauty KATE WINSLET escapes burning inferno, saves RICHARD BRANSON's 90 year-old mother!
WInslet and her two kids were among a large group of guests vacationing at billionaire Richard Branson's private island he owns in the Caribbean when a flash fire erupted during a fear fraught lightning storm.
"Around 20 people were in the house and they all managed to get out and they are all fine," Branson told AP.
"My son Sam rushed to the house and helped get everyone out.
“Kate Winslet, her boyfriend and her family were there and Holly and some of her friends were also staying. My mother was there and they managed to get her out and she is fine."
Branson, suspected the lightning storm that struck the island around 4 a.m. was the explanation for the flaming disaster and then took to his blog to thank Kate.
“Many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year mum out of the main house to safety wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!”
