It was the TLC one hour special the world had been waiting for as Kate tugged at America’s heart strings.
And tug them she did.
"Whatever happened, it happened so quickly," the Martyr Mom told Natalie Morales. "I think I was on a plane coming back from somewhere and I remember thinking, ‘We’re not going to recover from this,’
"I looked at him and he looked at me, and we were completely different people. I think somewhere down the line his goals changed and they felt detrimental to me and the kids."
"I still wake up every day and I think the phone will ring and it’ll be … the old Jon."
But as the "old Jon" she once knew no longer exists, Kate claimed she still has feelings for the newly "repentant" bad boy.
"A part of me ALWAYS will," she said tearfully (natch).
