Rest in peace. After a long battle with an illness, fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld has died at age 85.
The Chanel creative director, who has worked with the iconic style brand for over 30 years, succumbed after a plethora of health issues on Tuesday, February 19 at the American Hospital of Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Many were suspicious of Karl’s health after he missed two of Chanel’s haute couture fashion shows in Paris in late January — the first time he ever missed a show in his career. At the time, his team said he was absent due to exhaustion.
Lagerfeld was never married. Our thoughts remain with his friends and family during this difficult time.
