Julia Roberts Hubby Jealous Fury

JULIA ROBERTS’ hubby has exploded in a jealous fury over her flirtatious relationship with a hunky co-star – and friends fear a $225 million divorce battle is on the horizon.

Sources tell The ENQUIRER that cameraman Danny Moder is enraged over wife Julia’s too-close-for-comfort friendship with Mark Ruffalo, who starred opposite the Oscar-winning actress in the HBO movie “The Normal Heart.”

The couple’s 11-year marriage has long been plagued by reported trust issues, although sources say the latest blowup may be the one that finally torpedoes the union once and for all. In fact, Danny, 45, was recently photographed without his wedding ring.

While Julia has NOT cheated with married Mark, sources say Danny, who worked on the film as director of photography, “wigged out” over their obvious chemistry.

In the movie, Julia, 46, portrays physician Dr. Emma Brookner, a survivor of childhood polio who treats some of the earliest AIDS patients. Mark, also 46, plays combative AIDS activist Ned Weeks.

“Danny’s convinced that Julia was flirting up a storm with Mark,” said a source. “Mark and Julia had a tender moment in the film when his character picks her up out of her wheelchair and they slow dance to the Johnny Mathis classic ‘Chances Are.’

“And in real life, they’re like two peas in a pod, both politically liberal and socially conscious.”

Mark is a happily married father of three, but Danny’s well aware of his wife’s history with her leading men.

“If she wants a man, she goes after him,” said another insider. “And she won’t let anything stand in her way.”

In 1987, a 19-year-old Julia fell hard for Liam Neeson, then 35, during the making of the rock musical “Satisfaction.” The pair moved in together in Venice, Calif., but she ditched him the following year and fell for her “Steel Magnolias” co-star Dylan McDermott. They split in 1989 after a brief engagement.

Later that year, Julia romanced her “Flatliners” co-star Kiefer Sutherland. But she dumped him on what would have been their wedding day for his pal, actor Jason Patric.

“This type of history makes Danny cringe,” noted the source.

What’s more, Danny was married when he hooked up with Julia on the set of “The Mexican” in 2000.

“Danny insisted his marriage was already over, but Julia didn’t care one way or the other,” said the insider. “She wanted him and went after him, married or not.”

They wed in 2002 and have three kids together – twins Hazel and Finn, 9, and Henry, 6.

“Danny is convinced that if Julia would pursue him when she knew he was married, what would prevent her from pursuing other married men?” continued the source.

But the jealousy apparently goes both ways in this marriage. “Julia’s very paranoid about Danny cheating on her,” the source added. “I think she knows if he cheated once when he was married, he could do it again.”
