JULIA ROBERTS: CURSE OF THE MUMMY’s WOMB?!

PRETTY WOMAN” Julia Roberts has turned into an overprotective mom – sources say the screen superstar insists that her 9-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus sleep in the same bed with her most nights!

And the strict 46-year-old actress has her entire family – including her 6-year-old son Henry and husband Danny Moder – hit the sack at 7 p.m. each night, confide insiders.

It’s all part of the “attachment parenting” style that the devoted mom has practiced for almost a decade.

“Although the method is very controversial, Julia swears by it,” a family friend told The ENQUIRER.

“Attachment parenting” is a term coined by pediatrician Dr. William Sears to describe a hands-on approach to child-rearing that includes moms nursing children until they’re toddlers.

“Julia breast-fed her kids until they were two or three, and she loved doing it,” revealed the friend. “She also carried them ALL the time in a sling attached to her!

“And she still sleeps with them.”

Usually “co-sleeping” ends by the time babies become toddlers.

While the house is filled with love, Julia lays down the law. The no-nonsense matriarch allows very little TV viewing – and it all must be educational.

“She insists that the children spend most of their time playing outside with the dogs,” said the source. “And when they are inside, they read books. No spending their days on computers or cellphones.”

The source adds that Julia is also big on acknowledging her youngsters’ feelings, saying things like: “I understand you’re mad but…” And she makes sure they stay physically healthy by cooking wholesome, organic meals.

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, instead of buying her children the latest designer duds, Julia prefers “gently used” threads from the local Goodwill and consignment shops. And you won’t see her kids sporting expensive sneakers.

“I’m pretty strict,” Julia told a reporter. “We want to instill the same principles and values that my husband and I were raised with.

“But now and again, it’s great to say, ‘Let’s do this outrageous thing – let’s have an ice cream on a Wednesday!’”

To ensure the kids feel loved, Julia and Danny spend individual quality time with each one.

“For example,” said the source, “Henry loves horses, and she or Danny try to take him riding regularly.”

Julia isn’t the only celebrity who practices “attachment parenting.” The ENQUIRER learned that Mayim Bialik of “The Big Bang Theory” is another big believer in the technique. She breast-fed her two sons until they were toddlers and even let them run around without diapers – despite the mess!

“Julia totally agrees with that kind of parenting style,” said the source. “And she thinks her three kids will turn into very well-adjusted adults because of it.”
