“1 in 8 women get breast cancer,” the “Seinfeld” star wrote on social media. “Today, I’m the one.”
Julia, who just won her sixth consecutive Emmys for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her HBO hit “Veep,” added that she has “the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union.”

Julia also used the announcement to call out to the less fortunate, asking her followers to “fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
