Actor BOB SAGET is begging his “Full House” co-star and best pal JOHN STAMOS to go to rehab, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
Bob confronted John after the 51-year-old hunk was busted for DUI in Beverly Hills on June 12, sources revealed.
“Bob’s been John’s go-to guy for advice, and he’s been trying to get John to get help for quite some time,” said a friend.
On the night of John’s arrest, the two were reportedly set to meet to discuss their roles in the upcoming “Full House” spin-off on Netflix, “Fuller House,” which John is producing.
“Bob told John he doesn’t want to see him flush his life and career down the toilet,” the pal said.
John was taken to nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for an unknown medical condition after cops pulled him over for driving erratically.
Hospital staff and police determined John had been driving under the influence, and he was hauled off to jail.
He’s set to appear in court on Sept. 11. John has remained close to Bob, 59, since the show ended its eight-year run in 1995.
On the series, Bob played a widowed dad, while John starred as his brother-in-law. “Bob still gives John brotherly advice, just as he did on the show,” added the friend.
“John is considering Bob’s words, and is looking to check into rehab.”
