The disgraced former fatty, 38, whined to Judge Tonya Walton Pratt that his wife Katie (pictured) would be left as a “single mother” after his prison conviction of 15 years.
“You gave your wife $7 million, so she’ll be okay,” responded the judge.
But as The ENQUIRER revealed in 2008, Jared already had to part with big bucks over his divorce from his first wife!
Pediatric nurse Elizabeth Fogle, who married Jared in October 2001, divorced him six years later.
She received over $230,000 from Jared Fogle, Inc., which Jared had set up as a corporation that set up his personal appearances.
Elizabeth also received large percentages of the sale of their home, and from sales of Jared’s autobiography—published before the pedophile’s shameful secrets had been exposed.
The ENQUIRER also revealed how Elizabeth and Jared had suffered a painful public breakup, with one source saying: “Jared’s become too controlling, and seems to have a bit of a mean streak in him!”
Jared has already agreed to pay 14 of his young victims a payout of $100,000 each.
Katie, who became engaged to Jared two years after the end of his marriage to Elizabeth, filed for divorce on August 19—stating: “I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared.”
