Inside Tracy Morgan’s Living Hell

Inside the nightmare crash that nearly killed TRACY MORGAN.

The ENQUIRER has learned that if Morgan recovers, he’ll marry fiancee Megan Wollover, in a hospital bedside ceremony.

But first Morgan, 45, must bounce back from the “amputation horror” he faced after the frightening June 7 crash.

It happened at 1 a.m., when a tractor-trailer slammed into the back of Morgan’s limousine, overturning it and setting off a chain reaction that involved four other vehicles.

But Morgan’s routine ride home turned into a nightmare when the limo bus, traveling northbound on the New Jersey Turnpike about 45 miles from New York City, was struck from behind by the 18-wheeler.

The impact, according to authorities, sent the bus spinning before it flipped over.

Another vehicle hit the bus in the process.

“We didn’t know which way was up, which way was down,” driver Gale recalled.

“I climbed around and heard Tracy screaming for help. I climbed up on the body of the limo bus…but I couldn’t reach them.”

Sadly, the crash claimed the life of Morgan’s longtime friend, comedian James “Uncle Jimmy Mack” McNair, 63.

Meanwhile, Morgan “was bleeding profusely and he lapsed into unconsciousness” when emergency workers managed to free him from the wreckage, said a source.

The former “Saturday Night Live” star and another passenger were then airlifted by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.

“We were told that Tracy was in very bad condition and had suffered a huge gash on his head – with the skin flapping around the wound,” Glenn Moore, whose brother dates Morgan’s future mother-in-law, told The ENQUIRER.

“We prayed that he would live to be with Megan and their baby again. We’re all rooting for him.”

Morgan’s rep said the comedian underwent surgery for a broken leg.

He also broke his femur, nose and some of his ribs and was expected to remain hospitalized for several weeks.
