INCREDIBLE SHRINKING CHAZ

Growing ever smaller –meet Hollywood’s newest incredible shrinking man – CHAZ BONO!

Once a scale-busting 345 pounds, Chaz has dropped 50 of them since last fall thanks to intense mixed martial arts workouts, heart-pumping dance sessions and a strict diet, sources say.

But the 43-year-old transgender activist is not done yet!

“Chaz is determined to get as close to 200 pounds as possible, and he’s well on his way,” said a friend.

“In the past, his biggest hurdles were that he didn’t exercise and binged on junk food when he was depressed. But now Chaz has found martial arts and kickboxing, which he loves, and the weight is melting off.”

Back on Nov. 1, a schlumpy Chaz was gut-busting out of his clothes and could barely climb out of his car.

But by Jan. 18, he cut a much leaner figure. And on Feb. 6, the “Dancing with the Stars” alum looked even more fit. Still, his road from obesity hasn’t been easy.

Chaz, whose parents are showbiz diva Cher, 66, and the late Sonny Bono, has struggled with his weight for years.

In 2006, when he was still a 5-foot-5 female named Chastity, he weighed 215 pounds and signed on to VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club.” He lost 24 pounds but quickly regained it all and more.

In 2009, Chaz announced he was transitioning from female to male, and began hormone injections that contributed to his weight woes.

Desperate to pare down his 345-pound figure, Chaz joined the syndicated TV show “The Doctors” last November.

As we reported, he quickly shed 25 pounds, and then started thrice-weekly mixed martial arts workouts with one of his TV mentors, Frank “Johnny Kage” Colcher.

CHAZ SWEATED AWAY ANOTHER 15 POUNDS AT the Zero to Hero Kickboxing Gym in Los Angeles and by hitting cardiovascular dance classes twice a week, sources say.

“It’s steady going for Chaz,” another source told The ENQUIRER. “He’s doing a great job. He’s even taken up jiu jitsu.”

Along with the workouts, Chaz has changed his eating habits. Instead of the junk food, he now gets portion-controlled high protein, low carbohydrate meals from the diet delivery service Freshology.

“Chaz is jazzed that he finally found the right weight-loss formula,” said the friend. “If he continues at this pace, he’ll hit his 200-pound goal by the end of 2013!”
