HUGH GRANT fathered three love children with two different women in a span of just 14 months – but that comes as no surprise to pals of the suave British actor.
“You need a scorecard to keep up with Hugh’s comings and goings with women,” declared an insider. “I don’t think even he knows who he’s slept with – or how many other kids he might have around the world.”
The handsome 53-year-old star, who rocketed to fame in the 1994 film “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” recently blew the lid off his wild love life when he listed himself as “father” on the birth certificate of a son who was born in September 2012 to Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein.
Incredibly, Anna was pregnant at the same time as one of Hugh’s other lovers, 33-year-ol d Chinese actress Tinglan Hong. She and Hugh have two kids together, daughter Tabitha, who was born in September 2011, and son Felix, a December 2012 baby.
Despite his philanderings, Grant seems to be a responsible dad so far.
“He’s stepped up financially for all his kids,” praised the insider.
A month before their son was born, Eberstein, who’s in her 30s, paid cash for a $4.9 million apartment. Hong lives in a house bought by the actor that’s worth nearly $2 million.
Both women live within walking distance of Grant’s London home, and the actor seems to enjoy playing the real-life role of father.
“Everyone was right all these years, saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life,’ ” Grant told Ellen DeGeneres after the birth of his first child. “I recommend it. Get some.”
But being a dad hasn’t seemed to put a crimp in the Lothario’s love life.
“Hugh’s a wild man who can get pretty much any woman he wants – and usually does,” said the insider. “He loves all kinds of women.”
He proved that when he was busted with Hollywood hooker Divine Brown back in 1995. Cops say he paid her for oral sex in his BMW. Hugh pleaded no contest and was fined $1,180, placed on two years’ probation and ordered to complete an AIDS education program. He also paid for the indiscretion by becoming the butt of numerous late-night talk-show jokes.
His then-girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley was furious. She eventually reconciled with him but apparently got the last laugh by carrying on a three-year affair behind Hugh’s back with actor Tom Sizemore.
But Hugh isn’t looking back. The insider said: “Hugh seems to be able to take everything in stride. It’s like, another night, another woman.”
And Jane Moore, a columnist for the British newspaper “Sun,” quipped: “Hugh’s idea of making a commitment is staying the night.”
