GREY’S ANATOMY, SOPRANOS GET EMMY NOMINATIONS!

The nominees for the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday, June 19 and Grey’s Anatomy wracked up 10 nods, including Best Drama. T.R. Knight, Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson and Katherine Heigl were honored with acting nods.

The Sopranos walked away with 15 Emmy nominations, including Best Drama, after wrapping up its final season in June. Ugly Betty scored the most nominations in the comedy category, with 11 nods for the cast and crew.

Jon Cryer and Kyra Sedgwick announced the nominees and found themselves among the contenders. Cryer will compete in Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy category for Two and a Half Men and Sedgwick was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for The Closer.

The Emmys air on Sunday, September 16 on Fox.
