GLAM MAG SHOCKER: SUPER-MODEL ERA OVER!

description

Super-models have lost the glam mag cover war to actresses?!

According to an investigative report fewer models appear on the covers of fashion mags like Vogue because, frankly, no one knows who they are anymore.

"The whole idea of supermodels came in a pop culture when actresses weren’t that interesting," designer Marc Jacobs divulged. "Now Hollywood is filled with young actresses, and there is digital technology to make them look good."

The notable exceptions being pin thin Kate Moss, Heidi Klum who’s a TV personality and Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bündchen who’s half naked body adorns Vanity Fair.

In the aftermath of fashion’s Oscar night –  the Metropolitan Museum of New York Costume Institute Gala – more pix were snapped of teen thesps than the glamour pusses that once ruled the newsstands –  super-models like Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford.

While the latest Vogue features a bevy of unknown models on the cover promising insight into models’ "boyfriends, babies, closets, catwalks, diets and dramas" the inside ads feature nothing but Hollywood stars — Scarlett Johansson‘s translucent pout for Dolce & Gabbana, Kate Winslet  adorns Lancôme’s fragrance while Cate Blanchett is "the face" of "miracle" skin care.

And then came Jessica Biel…that gal don’t need no retouchin’!SEE THE PHOTOS
