Forest Whitaker filed a dissolution-of-marriage petition Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court to end his 22-year union with Keisha Nash-Whitaker.
According to the divorce documents reviewed by The National ENQUIRER, Whitaker blamed “irreconcilable differences” for the split.
The couple met while filming the 1994 action thriller “Blown Away,” and their on-screen romance carried over into real life, leading to a 1996 wedding in Jamaica.

Their now-grown daughters Sonnet Noel and True were born soon after, and each also has a child from prior relationships.
Whitaker states in the divorce filing that he does not want to pay spousal support. The “Star Wars: Rogue One” actor also asked that each be responsible for their own legal fees.
