Family and friends said goodbye as late actress Natasha Richardson was laid to rest in the upstate hamlet of Millbrook, New York.
Natasha’s heart broken hubby Liam Neeson was at the head of the casket as he and five pallbearers brought the Tony Winner’s remains home to stay in the Dutchess County glen they loved so well.
Mourners included the acting family matriarch, Natasha’s mum, Vanessa Redgrave, her sister Joely Richardson and Liam’s and Nat’s two children Michael and Daniel.
Fellow actors and friends Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Laura Linney, Uma Thurman and Timothy Dalton attended the chilly graveside service for the 45 year old star who died in a tragic skiing accident last week.
Theatre lights on Broadway and on London’s West End had been dimmed in her memory.
For some Natsha Richardson’s legacy won’t be her fictional characterizations but that of a beloved wife and mother.
