In an exclusive investigation into Keith and Nicole’s life in Nashville, The ENQUIRER spoke to old pals who pulled no punches about his dark days and how it appears as though Nicole finally tamed him.
Keith’s longtime friend, Max Hutchinson, 54, told The ENQUIRER that Keith once crawled on the wooden floor of a local crack house. “He was looking for a rock of crack that may have rolled in there. That was when he was at his absolute lowest.”
Another pal said Keith often had burned, scabby lips due to the butane lighter he used to ignite the crack pipe. Keith also smoked a lot of pot, and according to Max, they got blasted regularly.
“We’d smoke pot and go down to the car wash. Keith would roll down the car windows and just giggle.”
While Keith has been open about his drug and booze addictions, he’s kept mum about his notorious womanizing.
