A former ESPN colleague of Erin Andrews recalled his shock and dismay when told that she had been secretly taped nude by a stalker and the footage uploaded to the Internet, exposing her to the entire world.

“Can you believe what happened?” Jesse Palmer, who worked with Erin on college football broadcasts, recalled colleagues saying about her. His taped deposition was played for the jury today.

“They were trying to explain to me what had happened, trying to figure out what the situation was, how the person did it, where were we?” he testified. “It seemed pretty unbelievable.”

Jesse praised Erin for not letting the disgusting incident affect her professionalism on the job.

“From what I can recall, it was a very difficult time for her,” he said, calling her one of the best sideline reporters he’d ever worked with. Erin now covers college football for Fox Sports.

Still, Jesse said Erin had more security following her on the sidelines after the video surfaced, and she became more introverted.

Jesse insisted he has never seen the video and had gone out of his way to not talk about it with her. He recalled that she expressed relief when the pervert who invaded her privacy, Michael Barrett, was arrested and thrown in jail.

“The problem was that there could be more people out there,” Jesse said.

Erin is suing the owner and manager of the Nashville Marriott hotel for $75 million for not providing adequate security. She says the hotel gave her stalker the room next to hers after he requested it.

The hotel is arguing it is not liable for the spying because it could not have reasonably anticipated Barrett’s actions.
