No sooner than California struck down their ban against same sex marriage than Ellen DeGeneres told her audience she plans to wed long time lover, Portia de Rossi.
According to an audience member, DeGeneres was in the middle of taping her show when the California ruling came down.
De Rossi, 35, was sitting in the audience when Ellen made the surprise announcement.
The stunned audience responded with a standing “O” for the happy couple.
