Dustin Diamond is back in jail — and has a big smile after being accused of violating his probation after getting early release for stabbing a man!
The troubled actor — who starred as nerdy “Screech” for 11 years in the “Saved By The Bell” franchise — was arrested on Dec. 25, 2014, for stabbing a man during a bar altercation in Wisconsin.
He was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.
Then the actor got out early in April after doing janitorial work behind bars — which he was prepared for, since Dustin had last been seen playing the school janitor in an off-Broadway musical parody of “Saved By The Bell!”
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office — and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections — haven’t specified how Dustin violated parole.
But a local news station spoke to Dustin’s attorney — who noted that the actor’s parole included the usual stipulation that he couldn’t leave the state without permission.
That’s left people speculating that Dustin forgot to get permission before joining his old costar Mario Lopez for an exclusive interview on the nationally-broadcast “Extra!” — that was proudly taped at Universal Studios in Hollywood!
