DAVID DUCHOVNY ON TEA LEONI: IT WAS HATE AT FIRST SIGHT

David Duchovny HATED his future wife Tea Leoni when they first met!

In 1993, David wanted to go on “The Tonight Show” to promote his grisly film “Kalifornia” with Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis. But he wasn’t a big star and had to audition for the gabfest.

Tea, who was then in the short-lived FOX series “Flying Blind,” had to audition too — and they had to try out at the same time.

“She was funny and smart, gracious and charming. And I hated her!” Duchovny recalled in an interview. “I hated her because she put me totally in the shadow. I couldn’t compete with this level of charm . . . I was rejected and she got the show.”
