Courteney Cox and fiancé Johnny McDaid are searching for a surrogate mom to carry their baby, The National ENQUIRER has learned.

The “Snow Patrol” guitarist, 38, and 50-year-old former “Friends” star – who has a daughter Coco, 10, with ex-hubby David Arquette – hope to welcome their bundle of joy sometime next year, sources say.

“They’re already looking for someone who can do it, and Johnny is so excited that he’s started picking baby names!” said an insider.

“At first, he didn’t want kids, but Johnny has spent so much time with Coco that he’s realized a massive part of him wants a child of his own.

“Now he’s telling friends that his next big ambition is to be a dad, and that he wants to have a child with Courteney!”

The “Cougar Town” cutie was reluctant due to her age, but when the couple decided on a surrogate, she changed her mind, sources say.

“Now they’re both obsessed with the idea,” added the insider.

“But Johnny comes from a traditional Irish family that wouldn’t approve of a baby out of wedlock. That’s why they’re in such a rush to have a wedding.”

As The ENQUIRER has reported, the couple – engaged since June – scouted wedding venues during a recent vacation in Ireland.

Meanwhile, Johnny’s parents are thrilled about the surrogacy, said the insider.

“They’re old fashioned, but they’re totally behind Johnny doing this. They think it’s a perfect way to seal the marriage,” said the source.

As for Courteney, the “Scream” star has another reason for starting a family with Johnny.

The source said: “She’s told everybody that she’s focused on having a child with Johnny because she wants him to feel that he has the same standing with her as David.”
