Chrissy Metz has revealed that it’s taken her decades to feel comfortable wearing a swimsuit in public — and the plus-size performer didn’t go uncovered at the beach until she turned 38 years old in 2018!
“I grew up wearing a T-shirt at the pool,” confessed the “This Is Us” star, whose weight has gone up at points to 389 pounds.
But the newly-minted TV star finally decided to sport some swimwear while vacationing in Barbados this past June.
“There were people, like, ‘Oh my God, look at you! You know I could never do that.’ It’s a backhanded compliment, but I’m doing what I want to do!”
