Chris Rock is in the middle of a showbiz divorce battle — and a 7-year-old could be the first casualty!
The little girl is named Ntombi, and joined Chris’ family from South Africa in 2008 as a 6-month-old.
She’s been staying in Chris’ mansion in New Jersey ever since, and has even been attending school in the state.
But now reports claim Chris has tossed Ntombi out of his life as divorce proceedings begin with his wife Malaak!
“It’s incredibly suspicious,” said one legal insider, “and casts doubts on whether this was even a legal adoption!”
Chris seems to still be close to his biological daughters, but is distancing himself from Ntombi even as South African officials are said to have begun looking into how the child came to the U.S.!
There had been rumors that Ntombi was never officially adopted, and that Malaak had taken steps to bring her in from her native land without using official channels.
Sadly, Ntombi may now be just a hazard to Chris, as he possibly attempts to avoid paying child support for a child who may not even exist as an American citizen!
“It’s a sad situation,” said the veteran showbiz attorney.
“If Ntombi was brought in illegally, then Chris can claim ignorance of Ntombi’s adoption — and leave Malaak with all the legal risks if she pursues child custody for three children!”
