It feels like 2009 again, as Chris Brown is in hot water 10 years after he pled guilty to assault against his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. On Monday, January 21, it was reported that French police are investigating rape allegations made by a 24-year-old woman against the music superstar.
Prosecutors confirmed to The National ENQUIRER on Tuesday, January 22, that the 29-year-old is facing criminal charges over the alleged sex attack that took place the week before in France. The complainant said she met Brown at Le Crystal nightclub near Les Champs-Elysées before going back to his hotel Le Mandarin Oriental with him.
“He is accused of rape and is being held at the judicial police offices in the first arrondissement,” the source shared. “He was arrested with two others on Monday, and interviews and other inquiries are ongoing. The offense is said to have taken place on the night of January 15 this year.”
The unnamed woman claimed “she was abused by Mr. Brown, a bodyguard and a friend, and then she was left alone with the star,” another Paris source revealed. “A total of three men were arrested at Mr. Brown’s hotel. They did not resist police, and now have lawyers representing them.”
So, what’s next? Paris prosecutors can release Brown and the rest of the men, or choose to open a criminal investigation.
However, Brown is denying these allegations after he posted a photo that said “This Bitch Lyin.'” “WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!” he wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, January 22.
A decade prior, Brown was sentenced to community service after admitting to the offenses against Rihanna. And although nothing ever came of it, model Liziane Gutierrez also claimed he punched her in the face in 2018 at a Las Vegas party.
