Actress Patricia Marand who played Superman’s gal pal Lois Lane on Broadway gone at 74.
The star of the 1966 musical It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane – it’s Superman! was nominated for a Tony Award as the Daily Planet’s star reporter.
Ms. Marand battled brain cancer for a long time before finally succumbing this past Thanksgiving Day.
She also appeared in the 1952 musical Wish You Were Here and was a series regular on chat program The Merv Griffin Show.
She is survived by her husband Irving Salem and Superman (costar Bob Holiday).
