BRUCE WILLIS is doling out a taste of tough love to ex-wife Demi Moore – by ignoring her nonstop phone calls!
Although the two have remained friends since their 2000 divorce, insiders say Demi’s relentless neediness is driving Bruce crazy.
“Bruce adores Demi, but she’s one of the most high-maintenance, needy people on the planet,” said one insider. “For years he’s been there for her, taking her daily calls and giving advice on everything from career dilemmas to love and parenting. But he has so much going on in his life right now, and, to put it bluntly, he’s fed up.”
The 58-year-old actor recently announced that he and his wife of five years, Emma Heming-Willis, are expecting their second child. Demi, on the other hand, has endured a series of setbacks since separating from her third husband, Ashton Kutcher.
Since their 2011 split, the 51-year-old actress has been through rehab and had a series of failed relationships with younger men. And despite the fact she recently started dating 27-year-old rocker Sean Friday, insiders say that relationship is already on shaky ground.
Another source says Bruce is Demi’s go-to guy when she’s feeling down.
“She’ll text or call him up to a half-dozen times a day, asking for advice on trivial stuff,” noted the source. “Once, she called him in the middle of the night to ask what type of rice she should cook for dinner the next day.
“It’s too much, so Bruce is letting the phone go to voicemail, whether Demi likes it or not.”
