Skirt-chasing rocker Bruce Springsteen is about to blow the lid off his womanizing — in a bombshell autobiography that’s so racy he penned it in secret to keep his backup singer/wife, Patti Scialfa, in the dark!
Now sources say Patti, 62, who married him in 1991 and is mother of his three kids, fears she’s in for an embarrassing ride.
Bruce, 66, got a whopping $10 million advance and is expected to bare the sizzling details of his affairs — including his reported relationship with redhead New Jersey housewife Ann Kelly, which began in 2005.
“Patti is bracing for the disclosures in the book,” an insider told The National ENQUIRER.
“He didn’t want to show it to her because he feared it could hurt their chemistry on his current concert tour, where Patti performs alongside him.”
The “Born to Run” legend was so worried about the fallout from Patti that he wrote his book “in a remote barn office on their sprawling New Jersey property and kept the manuscript under lock and key!” said the source.
While Bruce and Ann have both denied having steamy trysts, her husband Arthur charged in court papers she “committed adultery with one Bruce Springsteen … at various times and places too numerous to mention.”
Bruce first spied Ann on a treadmill at a Garden State fitness center. Court papers say he enjoyed looking at “the nicest ass in the gym!”
Now, The Boss is expected to ’fess up to his cheatin’ ways in the upcoming memoir.
“In a project like this,” said Bruce, “the writer has made one promise — to show the reader his mind!”
