The son of rock icon Bruce Springsteen has blazed a different career path — as a firefighter!

Sam Springsteen, 25, now works for the Jersey City Fire Department.

Proud mom Patti Scialfa, The Boss’ leading lady, announced the news on Instagram on Aug. 1, writing: “You followed your dreams … JC firefighter … Stay safe … love your brave heart.”

After graduating from the Monmouth County Fire Academy in 2014, Sam volunteered with several fire departments. But in March, he took the civil service exam with hundreds of others to become a firefighter in New Jersey’s second largest city.

Sam has a brother, Evan, 29, and a sister, Jessica, 27.
