Cash strapped star Burt Reynolds may get some help from former love Sally Field.
A close source said Sally – worth a reported $55 million – “was in tears” when she learned Burt, 78, was auctioning personal belongings.
“Sally was devastated when she found out the extent of Burt’s trouble,” said the source.
“A gold watch she gave him years ago was included among the items set to be auctioned.”
While Burt insists he’s not poor – just sick of his memorabilia – Sally, 68, is sticking by her “Smokey and the Bandit” co-star.
The source said: “Sally’s vowed to pals that she plans on doing all she can to help Burt.”
