Britney Spears‘ attorney has closed the door on onetime Svengali Osama "Sam" Lufti despite not seeking an extension for a restraining order.
Brit’s mom, Lynne, alleged in court papers that Lufti, the self-described friend and sometime manager of Britney, kept Spears a hostage in her own mansion, drugging her and commandeering her finances.
Lufti was seen constantly with Britney as she descended into a feeding frenzy of media madness – photographed without underwear, appearing dazed in public and two tours of duty at the hospital.
"Britney has made clear to everyone that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama ‘Sam’ Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future," Spears’ attorney Samuel D. Ingham III stated.
"Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears have mutually agreed in private that no hearing or order is necessary at this time," Lufti told Associated Press by phone, declining to comment further.
Meanwhile it is expected that in court today that father Jamie Spears will extend his conservatorship over Brit’s personal life and finances until the end of the year.
The conservatorship gives Jamie the right to determine who his daughter associates with and it is expected that the temporary restraining order against Lufti will be lifted.
