On the 25th anniversary of SAMMY DAVIS JR.'S death, his son has opened up about the legendary entertainer he called “Dad.”

“I miss my father every day,” Manny Davis, 38, told The National ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview.

“I love him and think about him all the time. I can’t believe it’s been 25 years that he’s gone.”

Sammy and his wife Altovise adopted Manny in 1989.

Despite a 60-year showbiz career, the song-and-dance man was bankrupt and owed $7.5 million to the IRS when he passed away from throat cancer on May 16, 1990 at 64.

The enormous tax bill led to decades of legal wrangling between Manny, his three siblings and Altovise – with a judge eventually awarding Manny his late mother’s estate after she died in 2009.

Manny told The ENQUIRER he often visits his father’s grave at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.

Said a friend in Manny’s Reseda, Calif., neighborhood: “Manny lives in a modest house, and likes to ride his bike around the neighborhood. No one would know that his dad was the famous ‘Candy Man.’”
