Beverly Hills, 90210 star and soap opera legend Jed Allan died on Saturday, March 9. He was 84 years old.

The late actor’s son, Rick Brown, took to Facebook that same night to post a touching tribute to his deceased father. “So sorry to post the very sad news of my fathers passing tonight. He died peacefully and was surrounded by his family and loved so much by us and so many others,” he wrote. “Thank you for all who are part of this wonderful tribute to my dad on Facebook.”

In addition to his role of Rush Sanders on 90210, throughout his six-decade-long career, Jed also appeared in a plethora of shows including Lassie, Adam-12, Days of Our Lives, Santa Barbara, General HospitalThe Bay, and more.

His former co-star Ian Ziering took to social media to send his condolences. “So sad to hear we’ve lost another 90210 classmate,” the actor penned next a photo of the two on Instagram. “I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve’s father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed.”

Jed’s death comes just a few days after Luke Perry died of a stroke at age 52. He played Dylan McKay in the popular series from 1990 until 2000.

The actor was married to Toby Brown from 1958 until her death in 2001. He is survived by his three sons, Mitch, Dean and Rick. Rest in peace…
