British actor Albert Finney has died at age 82 after a short illness.
“Albert Finney, aged 82, passed away peacefully after a short illness with those closest to him by his side. The family request privacy at this sad time,” Finney’s family said in a statement obtained by The National Enquirer.
Finney was a five-time Oscar nominee, most remembered for his roles in Skyfall, Tom Jones, and Erin Brockovich. He also played Daddy Warbucks in 1982’s Annie. He originally made a name for himself in the 1960 film Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.
The late star won a plethora of honorable achievements in his lifetime, including numerous BAFTA Awards, three Golden Globes, a Primetime Emmy Award, and many more.
