Dennis Hopper was honored Friday with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. The 73-year-old actor, who is suffering from prostate cancer, looked frail as he accepted his award.
Hopper was gaunt and had bandages on his head and hand. He explained that his bandages were the result of a fall Thursday outside his home.
Hopper thanked Tinseltown for being “my home and my schooling.” He was surrounded by family and friends like Jack Nicholson, Viggo Mortensen, David Lynch and Dwight Yoakam. His wife of 14 years, Victoria, was not present. They are going through a bitter divorce.
