Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler Secretly Preparing to Sing One Last Time Despite Vocal Cord Injury
Rock royalty Steven Tyler, 77, may have been sidelined by a brutal vocal-cord injury — but don’t expect him to exit stage left in silence. Sources say the Aerosmith frontman is hell-bent on singing one last time.
“He doesn’t want the mic taken from him,” a longtime pal confides. “Steven wants to hand it off — on his own terms.”
The band’s Peace Out: The Farewell Tour was cut short, but word is that Tyler’s quietly rehearsing with a vocal coach for what could be the most emotional performance of his career.
“He just wants to say thank you, even if it’s one song,” says an insider. “There’s still thunder in that voice, even if it cracks.”
