Carly Simon approached Sean Connery as a fan and almost ended up in a family orgy!

It's the latest bombshell revelation from the pop legend's upcoming memoir "Boys In The Trees" — coming out Friday, but The ENQUIRER has sneaked a peek!

The ENQUIRER has already revealed Carly's shocking sexual secret of being seduced by a creepy teen when she was just seven years old!

Sean Connery, however, was much smoother when he went after Carly and her sister.

The songwriter revealed she was 20 years old when she approached Connery with her sister Lucy, who was 22 at the time.

The pair had modest success recording as the Simon Sisters, which inspired the two to send Connery a note saying they weren't "ordinary fans" when they saw the movie star was a fellow passenger on a 1965 cruise from England to New York.

Carly also mentioned that her father was the "Simon" in the publishing giant Simon & Schuster.

That was enough to get the attention of Connery — who Carly remembers as "far handsomer in person."

After chatting them up with Hollywood stories and talk of LSD trips, Connery invited the sisters to his cabin and suggested what Carly's pals later referred to as a "Simon sisters sandwich."

Carly insisted that they were both too naive to grasp that Connery was pushing for a threesome, and then politely declined when he became a little more direct!

That was still the end of the Simon Sisters, though.

The book said that sister Lucy later dropped by Connery's cabin by herself and spent the night — upsetting Carly enough that she broke up the act!
