The former pin up looks a million miles from the man who seduced Kim Basinger in '9? Weeks' in these exclusive images obtained by The National Enquirer. The pictures show the star's latest attempt to regain his leading man looks. Taken last year the images show Mickey, now 60, recovering from his latest facial reconstruction procedure. Although the results look better than the last time he went under the knife it is clear the star will never get back what once was. Mickey's plastic surgery shocker began in 2008 when a surgeon botched an operation to fix Rourke's once-handsome looks that he said 'had been pounded into a swollen mess because of boxing.' It wasn't exactly a success - with Mickey left looking appallingly disfigured. "I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together," he later admitted. Rourke started out in amateur boxing at age 12 but left the ring in the early 1970s for health reasons. Switching careers Rourke made his movie debut in 1979 in Steven Spielberg's WWII comedy "1941" followed by roles in 'Diner', 'Rumble Fish', 'Angel Fish' and the erotic drama '9?' Weeks where his bad-boy good looks shot him to sex symbol status. Unfortunately his alleged reputation for being difficult to work with meant film offers soon dried up.
