Terrified passengers on a Singapore Airlines flight could only film the roaring fire that was consuming their airplane — as they were trapped in their seats!
Firefighters at the Changi Airport rushed to extinguish the flames, as horrified innocents watched the fiery nightmare caught in the shocking video above!
The plane had been leaking oil for three hours since taking off from the airport, and had been forced to return.
Lee Bee Yee, a passenger on the flight, told reporters: “The blaze was quite fierce, and we waited fro two or three minutes before the fire engines arrived.”
She also went to social media to declare: “I just escaped death!”
Miraculously, there were no injuries to either the 19 crew members and the 222 passengers who finally exited to be transferred to a new plane.
Singapore Airlines released a statement on the bizarre spectacle, assuring that “passengers disembarked through stairs and were transported to the terminal building by bus.”
The airline added: “Passengers will be transferred to another aircraft which is expected to depart for Milan later today.”
