$300,000 Bail Set For Teacher Who Allegedly Sexually Attacked Boy In Front Of Mother

Teacher bail aquare

Bail was set at $300,000 after a hearing yesterday for a middle school teacher accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy — an attack witnessed by his mother!

Christine Taylor, 44, was arrested for sexually abusing the child at her home in Chicago on New Year’s Day.

The teacher at Jefferson Middle School allegedly invited the teen and his mother over for pizza, and after convincing the boy’s mother to let her and the boy take her dog for a walk, the language arts instructor instead brought the minor upstairs and assaulted him.

Reports say the mother became aware of what was happening and actually witnessed the assault.

Another resident of the house called police.

Taylor faces one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

“While the victim in this case was not a student at Jefferson Middle School, Ms. Taylor, as a teacher, still holds a position of trust in the community,” State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said.

"Naperville 203 takes allegations of staff misconduct very seriously and student safety is our number one priority," Naperville Community Unit School District 203 officials said in a statement. “We will continue to work with the Naperville Police Department on this matter and counselors are available for students when they return to school should they require assistance.”

Students return from winter break on Wednesday.
